Dr, Josefina T. Dizon is recognized for her important contributions in the field of SEARCA Graduate Alumna, Dr. Josefina T. Dizon is the new Dean of the College of Public Affairs and Development, University of the Philippines Los Baños, effective 24 January 2013. Prior to her new appointment, Dr. Dizon was the Director of CPAf’s Community Innovations Studies Center (CISC). As dean of CPAf, Dr. Dizon will oversee the Institute for Governance and Rural Development (IGRD), Center for Strategic Planning and Policy Studies (CSPPS), as well as the CISC. The curricular programs of CPAf are offered through the IGRD, which includes undergraduate courses in agrarian studies, education, and community education. The CISC and CSPPS on the other hand, develop and manage the research and extension programs of the College. Dr. Dizon finished her PhD in Community Development in 1996 at UPLB through the SEARCA Scholarship Program. To date, there are a total of 351 Filipino graduate alumni of SEARCA, among the 1193 SEARCA Graduate Alumni from Southeast Asia.

Dr. Eusebio Z. Dizon is recognition for her significant contribution I started working in prehistoric archaeology in 1977 at the National Museum of the Philippines and received formal academic training in Archaeology at the University of Pennsylvania specialized in Archaeometallurgy. I was the founding Director of the Archaeological Studies Program, University of the Philippines, Diliman in 1995. To date, as a Scientist III, I am coordinating, participating and conducting archaeological researches in Palaeolithic, Neolithic, the Metal Age, Protohistory, Underwater and Maritime archaeology.
